Biographical note and research interests:

Specialized in psycholinguistics, Shiyu Li is a Ph.D. student of linguistics (language neuroscience option) at the University of Montreal. He obtained a master’s degree in French language and literature from Shanghai International Studies University, as well as a master’s degree in linguistics from the University of Montreal. His experimental research focuses on the cognitive mechanisms underlying the written verbal production of words, particularly in a multilingual context. At the annual conference of the Canadian Linguistic Association and the International Conference on the Mental Lexicon, Shiyu presented his work on the effect of knowledge of 2nd and 3rd languages (English and French) on processing Chinese compound words.
