Biographical note and research interests:
Mersiha BRUNCEVIC is a writer, researcher, and a postdoctoral fellow in Creative Writing and Literary Studies at the University of Gothenburg, Department of Languages and Literatures. She completed her PhD in Romance Languages with a thesis on intertextual and intermedial connections in Marcel Proust’s depictions of sleep and dreams. Her current project, Reading the Void, explores constrained writing shaped by omission, silence, and erasure. Bruncevic’s interests include experimental literature, OULIPO, exile, and memory. Her work has appeared in The London Magazine, The Financial Times, Tablet Magazine, The Literary Encyclopedia, and other publications.
