Biographical note and research interests:
Karine Martel recently completed a B.A. in Psychology with minors in Linguistics and Behavioural Science at McGill University. Her undergraduate research explored anglicisms in digital spoken French across Quebec and France, with a focus on identity performance and sociolinguistic variation. She is passionate about psycholinguistics, language development, and how linguistic practices reflect social belonging. Karine plans to pursue graduate studies in Communication Sciences and Disorders, with a focus on bilingualism and the cognitive mechanisms underlying language use in diverse communities.
